Andrea Sorg as@schwarzsee.org
Since 2001, Andrea Roman Sorg has conceived and led dozens of high-level events across Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Scandinavia, and Austria for a wide range of clients. He worked as a producer for the German public broadcaster ARD in Geneva and Zurich, and later served as Director of NZZ Podium Europa in Berlin, the former international event series of Neue Zürcher Zeitung. Andrea Sorg is also the founder of the intelligent peer-review formats Stadtluft (urban planning) and European Blend (governance), both developed and run by Schwarzsee. He studied history, journalism, and literature (lic. ès lettres) in Geneva, London, and Fribourg, and speaks German, French, English, and Norwegian. He is married to a Norwegian and has two daughters. In his free time, he runs, plays football, devours newspapers, reads widely, and explores great cities.
“Over the past decade, I have had several opportunities to work with Andrea Roman Sorg through NZZ Podium Europa, a format he invented, and our collaboration has grown into an ongoing and highly stimulating exchange. What impressed me most is his singular talent for staging intellectual events: he possesses an acute sense for compelling topics, productive constellations of speakers, and event formats capable of keeping even large audiences fully engaged and intellectually entertained. Politically, intellectually, and even financially, I would confidently place my bet on the formats designed by Andrea Roman Sorg.”
